tech problem with Kindle and Win 10

I see the issue of Windows 10 not recognizing Kindle has been discussed on this forum before, but it doesn't look like there was any solution found. I have the same problem. Anybody have anything I can try to get my Windows 10 computer to recognize my Kindle Fire when I plug it in using a USB cable?
