: : : I have to press F1 every time I start my computer in order to get Windows to start. I get this error message:

: : : Diskette drive 0 seek failure

: : : Do you smart folks have any idea of what is causing this?

: : It is trying to start up your computer from your diskette drive (drive A). Do you have a diskette drive? Do you want your computer to start from drive A?

: No, I don't want my computer starting from the diskette drive. How do I fix it?

If this keeps happening, here is one solution. When you get the Diskette drive 0 seek failure, it should give you the option of pressing the F2 key to get into the computer's CMOS setup. There, in the list of active drives, you can use the arrow keys to move to the diskette drive section and select NONE. Once you press the F10 key to save the new configuration, upon startup, your computer will no longer go to the diskette drive A. It should now start Windows in the normal way (from the hard disk).
