I create files that begin with yymmddx.dif, where x is a name modifier. I need a routine that determines whether a file exists already for today by checking every file name in the folder for existence of today's date in the first six characters of the file name.
If none are found, I continue the batch file, otherwise I end it.
The VB routine I had doing this chore does not work with my upgraded Win 7 system.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
